Z Cross Section
C cross section purlins by KONTI have variable width shoes, in order to allow overlapping, thus achieving continuous multiple opening purlins. this purling joining method is called continuous (the overlapping system) and offers the benefit of effective doubling ofpuriTn thickness at mounting locations, where maximum moments and shearing loads are to be expected. Other purlin joining systems are the following:
a. Sleeve system
b. Two - ended mounting (non continuous system)
Both mounting systems employ heavier purlins at the end openings and lighter at the intermediate ones, or with more extensive overlapping towards the ends. The overlapping length is dependent on transient loads (snow, wind, worker weight) and the openings between purlins and frames.
